Mikaela is part of the clinical trials team of Research Assistants in Timothy Tree’s group. Together with the other research assistants, she is involved in coordinating the processing of clinical samples, communicating with external research sites and performing experiments on cells received from patients enrolled in clinical trials. The aim of this work is to elucidate how to modulate the immune system to improve T regulatory and beta cell function in patients with type 1 diabetes.
