Research Fellow
Biography
Minna Cowper-Coles is based at the Policy Institute and the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at King's, where she works on their women political leaders research stream, focusing on women’s political representation globally, and the interactions between policymaking and gender equality.
She gained her PhD at Birkbeck College, University of London. Her book Gender and Political Support was published in August 2022. She has taught courses on Middle East politics, global politics and quantitative and qualitative research methods. She authored the report Women political leaders: the impact of gender on democracy for the Global Institute of Women’s Leadership and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and was project lead for the report Bridging the Gap? An analysis of gender pay gap reporting in six countries.
