Biography
Modupe is experienced in substance misuse nursing, the implications of mental ill-health on physical health and is particularly keen on the impact of alcohol misuse on people of African Ancestry. Modupe’s present role includes the professional development of pre- and post-qualification nursing students.
Prior to joining the King’s team, she spent a year working at the Institute of Vocational Learning at London Southbank University, delivering bespoke training workshops for both health care support workers and qualified staff.
Her strength is in leadership and she is skilled at supporting adult learners, with the appropriate application of blended styles to make the learning process more task-specific and personalised. She enjoys the time and effort invested in supporting students because she believes the dividends as “invaluable”.
Modupe is currently the cohort lead for September 2018 BSc Mental Health Nursing and links closely with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
