Biography

Nabiha Waheed is a Research Assistant in the field of perinatal mental health. Her research focuses on psychological outcomes during pregnancy and early motherhood, with particular interests in gestational diabetes, perinatal loneliness, and mental health inequalities among women. She is especially interested in culturally responsive and co-produced approaches to research that inform inclusive maternal healthcare practice and policy.

Nabiha holds a MSc in Mental Health Studies from King's College London, and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Manchester. Her academic training has centred on women’s health, mental health, and applied research methods.

Her areas of expertise include qualitative research, stakeholder engagement, co-production methodologies, and impact-focused research within perinatal populations. She plans to pursue further academic research in perinatal mental health, with a focus on developing and evaluating culturally responsive psychological interventions.
