Biography:
I have over 16 years of teaching experience working with a diverse range of students. I teach across different programs, including language modules, the DTP (Doctorate Training Programme), and short courses. I also actively involved in formative and summative assessments. My dedication to teaching was recognized by King's Language Centre with a Teaching Excellence award in 2018.
In 2020, I completed my MA in Education Management at King's College London. I successfully collaborated towards the introduction of the course of Spoken Arabic integrating dialect teaching with Modern Standard Arabic.
I am an HEA fellow and a recognized member of the Academic Education Pathway (AEP). Beyond the classroom, I have attended and participated in numerous conferences around the UK. I have experience designing and delivering student workshops and contributes to the annual widening participation programme by delivering language workshops to UK school students.
Publications:
I have published several research papers on language teaching and completed a study on the learning approaches of heritage students in the UK.
- My work was recognized by the Arab Thought Organization, which included my research as a chapter in their 7th publication, "How Heritage Students Learn Arabic."
I have also published two papers in Academia:
- The use of a first language strategy in an Arabic language classroom: a teaching method supports or hinders learning.
- Recent Development in Digital Technology: Gamification in the Learning Environment.
