The event will aim at providing participants with a brief history of the Arabic language and the formation of the spoken dialects. The structural and sociolinguistic differences between the standard modern Arabic and dialects will also be discussed.

Participants will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the regional varieties and the effect of the language mixing and changes.

Suitable for: students of Arabic stages 1,2,3, PGO and LAHP.
