Biography

Natalya is a PhD student in Applied Public Policy at the School for Government, King’s Policy Institute, King’s College London. Her research examines cognitive biases in public sector decision-making, with a focus on overconfidence, bureaucratic behaviour, and the use of evidence in policy processes, particularly within the Indonesian context.

Prior to her doctoral studies, she served as a policy analyst at the Ministry of Law, Republic ofIndonesia, where she advised on governance reform and policy evaluation. She also worked as a guest lecturer in Public Policy at the Polytechnic of Corrections Science, Indonesia.She holds a BA in Economics from Medan University, a Master’s in Applied Economics from Padjadjaran University, and a Master’s in Public Administration and Management from Rikkyo University, Japan.

Research Interests: Behavioural Public Policy; Evidence-Based Decision-Making; Bureaucracy and Governance Reform
