Biography
Nick has a BSc in Economics, and an MSc in Information Management, both from Lancaster University. He then went on to study a PhD at the Lancaster University Sociology department, investigating the effects of learning to drive a car on individual social networks.
Prior to joining King’s, Nick ran an integrated foundation programme at the University of West London and before that worked at Durham University’s Foundation Centre, where he taught sociology and anthropology courses.
His academic interest is in the use of new technology for teaching and research, and he has published widely. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the Royal Anthropological Institute. Outside of education Nick enjoys sports, and particularly enjoys sports where his height is potentially an unfair advantage. He is currently learning tennis.
