Director, Commercial Operations and Partnerships, London Institute for Healthcare Engineering

Biography

Dr Nicolas Huber is the Director of Commercial Operations and Partnerships at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE). He is responsible for elevating the profile of LIHE internally to King's and across the UK healthcare technology landscape. He is also responsible for ensuring that all the startup acceleration and partnership programs at LIHE run smoothly and generate real clinical impact. He was the CEO of ProteinLogic Ltd, a biotech spin-out from Cambridge University. Prior to that, he held commercial roles in MedTech corporates in Belgium and the UK.

He has mentored a number of startups through such accelerators as Wayra, TechStars, IECT, RG and others. He sits on the advisory board of a number of startups in biotech/medtech. Dr Huber holds a PhD in Space Science and an MEng in Electronic Engineering from Sussex University. He spends his spare time with his young daughter, and, if she allows, playing the guitar.
