Biography
As a Clinical Research Associate, Oisín is interested in refining treatment options for schizophrenia. He completed his medical training at Trinity College Dublin in 2018. During this this time he gained clinical experience at the National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore and the Walton Centre in Liverpool, and was awarded a Trinity Foundation Scholarship to pursue further study in Neuroscience. As a MSc student, he developed an interest in psychiatric biomarkers, performed a meta-analysis of white matter volume differences in schizophrenia, and was awarded the Novartis Prize for Best Student. He went on to complete a 2-year Academic Foundation Programme at Brighton & Sussex Medical School which included clinical and research placements in Psychiatry. He joined Professor Oliver Howes’ research team in 2020 and is currently working on the AnTiconvuLsant AugmeNtation Trial in Schizophrenia (ATLANTIS).
