Doctoral research
My research aims to examine how the UK has responded to anti-imperialism from the Commonwealth of Nations. This will be examined through three case studies: The Lancaster House Conference (1979), The Commonwealth’s Eminent Persons Group’s mission to South Africa (1985-6) and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London (2018). This project uses a mixed methods approach of archival material and elite interviews.
