Biography

Dr Panagiotis Charalampopoulos is a Lecturer in Computer Science in the Department of Informatics at King's College London. Before joining King's, he was a Lecturer in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Birkbeck, University of London. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Efi Arazi School of Computer Science at Reichman University. Panagiotis obtained his PhD from the Department of Informatics at King's College London.

  • Algorithms and data structures
  • String algorithms, with a focus on approximate pattern matching, sequence similarity, and regularity detection
  • Planar graph algorithms, with a focus on the computation of shortest paths
