Biography

Peter Baudains is a Research Software Engineer in Visual Analytics at CUSP London. He received his PhD from UCL in 2015, which explored different approaches to modelling human social systems, with a focus on problems in Security and Crime Science. He has over five years of experience as a data scientist and product engineer in the payments industry, designing and developing machine learning approaches to detect and prevent fraud. Before joining King’s, Peter was a Research Data Scientist at the Consumer Data Research Centre, University of Leeds, where he led the Research Data Science team in the development of derived data products for open use.

In his role as a Research Software Engineer in Visual Analytics at CUSP London, Peter works with CUSP London partners and collaborators to provide software, tools, and insights for data visualisation and data science approaches that support decision-making.
