Biography

Philip Shaw is Director of the King’s Maudsley Partnership for Children and Young People and Professor at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London, joining King's in October 2024.

Philip has been working at National Institutes of Health in the United States and brings a wealth of experience in ADHD and related disorders, utilising longitudinal genetic and imaging data to understand variations in these conditions and their long-term prognosis, amongst other things.

His research and experience will enhance our strategy to better understand underpinning causes of mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders, in order to improve prevention and intervention.
