Rajeev C. Nishad

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Biography

Dr Rajeev C. Nishad is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry, King’s College London. His research interests include the synthesis and application of metallosupramolecular-based polymers.

Dr Rajeev received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from St. Andrew’s College, Gorakhpur, India. He then went to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, where he received his PhD degree in Organometallic Chemistry in 2021. Thereafter, he worked as a Research Associate, focusing on the activation of CO2 molecules.

In 2022, he joined Gulf Oil International as a Senior R&D Scientist and worked there for a year. In 2023, he moved to King’s College London.

Research Interests

Dr Rajeev's research focuses on polymers which contain metallic elements (i.e. metallopolymers) and combine the functionality of metal centres with the processing advantages of macromolecules. He is investigating novel routes to main-chain metallopolymers.
