Biography
Raphaëlle Delpech is an MRC-funded PhD student at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London under the supervision of Dr Susannah Pick, Professor Matthew Hotopf and Professor Mario Juruena.
Her focus is on the biopsychological markers and mechanisms of atypical depression in adulthood using mixed methods like behavioural experiments, neurophysiological recordings, and ecological-momentary assessment techniques. She is especially interested in the mood and social aspects of atypical depression manifested through mood hyperreactivity and increased interpersonal sensitivity.
Raphaëlle has an academic and research background in psychology and neuroscience. She completed her MRes in Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology at University College London (UCL), in partnership with the Yale Child Study Center at the Developmental Electrophysiology Lab.
She then worked on a Wellcome-funded project on the active ingredients of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for adolescent social anxiety and depression as a research assistant in the AIM Lab at UCL.
