Biography
I am a speech and language therapist by training. I conduct neuroimaging (fMRI and fNIRS) and behavioural research on language processing. I investigate the processes that support spoken and dynamic visual language (e.g. British Sign Language and visual speech) comprehension. I am also interested in auditory processing in individuals prone to psychosis and people with aphantasia that are unable to generate mental imagery. I teach functional brain imaging and run the research project module for the Neuroscience & Psychology BSc.
