By train

By bus

Buses stopping outside the university: 1, 4, 26, 59, 68, 76, X68, 168, 171, 172, 176 (24 hour), 188, 243 (24 hour), 341 (24 hour), 521, RV1.

A shuttle bus service is available for staff and students (carrying their college ID) wishing to travel between the Guy’s and St Thomas' hospital sites, the latter also being within walking distance of Waterloo and the Strand. The pick-up and drop-off points are:

at St Thomas', the lower-ground car park opposite the Florence Nightingale Museum
at Guy's Campus, on Great Maze Pond on the lay-by to the Bloomfield Clinic.

By boat - commuter river service

From the west, Putney - Blackfriars: get off at either Embankment Pier or Blackfriars Pier.

Parking

No public parking, but a pay and display parking system operates in nearby streets including Surrey Street. Motocycle bays are available in the Strand, Arundel Street, Temple Place and other nearby streets.

Weekend and evening bicycle parking after 20.00 is permitted at the Strand entrance opposite Security. Please note that any bicycles left in this location after 08.30 Monday to Friday will be removed. No responsibility will be accepted for the replacement of locks or costs incurred. No bicycles are permitted to be brought into the buildings or chained to railings.

Students and staff may park at the Strand Campus secure bicycle park off Strand Lane but must register with Strand Campus Security for access. There is bike parking in the streets, and Barclays Cycle Hire bikes are available close by.

Travelling to the Maughan Library

By tube: Chancery Lane (Central line): use exit 4 - 6 minute walk. Temple (District and Circle lines): 6 minute walk.

On foot from the Strand: 8 minute walk

Bicycle stands: Within the courtyard, to the right of the entry arch.

Travelling to 22 Kingsway

By tube: 22 Kingsway is equidistant to Temple and Covent Garden tube stations. Temple (District and Circle lines): 8 minute walk. Covent Garden (Piccadilly line): 5 minute walk.

On foot from the Strand: 6 minute walk

Bicycle stands: The nearest public cycle parking facility is at Lincoln’s Inn Fields. Students and staff may park at the Strand Campus secure bicycle park and must register with Strand Campus Security for access. Barclays Cycle Hire bikes are available close by.

Travelling from other campuses to the Strand Campus

From Guy's Campus	35 minute walk: walk west along St Thomas Street, turn left into Borough High Street and then right into Southwark Street. Turn right into Blackfriars Road, cross Blackfriars Bridge, walk along Victoria Embankment to Temple Place. Turn right into Surrey Street then left in to the Strand.	At London Bridge take the 521 towards Waterloo via Holborn. Or take the 381 to Waterloo, changing at Waterloo onto a 1, 4, 172, 171, 168 or 243. Bus stops near Guy's Campus.	Jubilee line to Westminster, then change and take the District line to Temple.
From Denmark Hill Campus		Take the 68 bus. Bus stops near Denmark Hill Campus.	Take the London & South East Railway to Blackfriars. Take the District or Circle line from Blackfriars to Temple.
From Waterloo Campus	Walk across Waterloo Bridge and turn right onto the Somerset House terrace. The entrance to the Strand Campus is next to Somerset House on the left.	Take any bus that goes across Waterloo Bridge and get off at the Strand side of the bridge. Bus stops near Waterloo Campus.	Take the Bakerloo or Northern line to Embankment, then change and take the District or Circle line to Temple.
From St Thomas' Campus	Walk across Westminster Bridge and then along Victoria Embankment until turning left into Surrey Street and then into the Strand.	Take the 507 bus to Waterloo, then change on to a 1, 4, 172, 26, 168, 243, 68, 171 or 59. Bus stops near St Thomas' Campus.	Walk across Westminster Bridge to Westminster station and take the District or Circle line to Temple.
