Biography
Professor Sarben Sarkar is a Professor of Theoretical Physics in the Department of Physics, King’s College London and has been since 1996.
Prior to King’s he has been a post doctoral fellow at CERN, the University of Chicago and the University of Pennsylvania. He was the Director of the Summer School ‘Exotic States in Quantum Nanostructures’ in August 1999 at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor. He became a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (UK) in 2003 and he served as an Editorial Board Member at both the New Journal of Physics (200-2005) and the Proceedings of the Royal Society A (2005-2007). He also served as the Co-chair of the workshop DISCRETE 2014 in London.
He was the Director of British Universities Summer School in Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics held at King’s College London in 2015. He is a current member of the MoEDAL international collaboration searching for magnetic monopoles based at CERN.
