Biography

Selena Wu is a registered dietitian and is a Research Assistant as part of a clinical trial (PLANTIFUL) on the impacts of plant foods on cardiometabolic and gastrointestinal health as part of the Nutritional Sciences department. Selena completed her BSc hons. and dietetics training at King’s College London in 2023 with her dissertation focusing on improving islet cell transplant outcomes in Type 1 Diabetes. Prior to starting her research assistant role, she worked as a clinical dietitian, most recently as a Specialist dietitian at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Her research interests centre on the gut-microbiome and its links to human health and disease.
