
Dr Shalen Fu
Centre Manager, Centre for Sustainable Business
Biography
Shalen Fu joined King's Business School in 2023. Her role involves overseeing the creation and management of the Centre for Sustainable Business. Working alongside Centre leadership, Shalen supports delivery of key research, impact/external engagement, and education objectives through managing the overarching operations and governance activities.
Shalen has extensive project and stakeholder management experience in the HE sector. She has been managing the €1.5 million ERC-funded DIGISILK research as the project manager. In 2022, she joined the King’s Digital Lab, managing its large portfolio of more than 100 digital projects and the lab's process improvement initiatives.
Previously, Shalen worked for the Hayden Green Institute at Nottingham Business School, where she facilitated the establishment of start-ups and social enterprises. She was also involved in setting up the Entrepreneurs in Residence network, which brings together over 50 business professionals dedicated to nurturing the next generation of business leaders.
Shalen holds a PhD in Digital Heritage and Impact Studies from King’s College London. During her doctoral studies, she contributed to various digital projects, including the Courtauld Institute of Art’s HLF Digitisation Project, The Watercolor World, and the Europeana Impact Project.
