Sihan Zhang is a PhD student in the Department of Engineering, King’s College London under the supervision of Dr Sorin-Cristian Vlădescu and Professor Guy Carpenter.

She aims to develop Plant-Derived Polymers to Enhance Taste and Lubrication in Plant-Based Food Products. She obtained a Master's degree in Food Security from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Engineering from Hunan Agricultural University. After completing her Master's degree, she worked as a Research Assistant at Hunan Agricultural University in China.
