Biography

Stefanos Arvanitakis is a Junior Fellow for the Centre for International Governance and Dispute Resolution (CIGAD) at The Dickson Poon School of Law, and a King's College alumnus with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Law LLB.

 

Stefanos is currently an LL.M. Candidate in International Law at the Geneva Graduate Institute, specializing in the protection of the individual in international law. His interests include general public international law, international human rights law, international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and refugee law. He has conducted research as part of the King's Undergraduate Research Fellowship on inter-State disputes before human rights treaty bodies alongside Dr Rosana Garciandia, and has assisted the King's Human Rights and Environment Clinic in drafting an amicus curiae brief in support of the absolute prohibition of torture and torture-tainted evidence in pre-trial proceedings.

He is currently an Intern on Human Rights Affairs at the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations in Geneva, and conducts research on international migration law for a Legal Clinic project at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
