Biography

Dr. Steven Cass is a postdoctoral research associate working with Prof. Mona Bafadhel in the King's Centre for Lung Health. Furthermore, is a co-investigator of the Study of Inflammatory and Physiological Profiles of Healthy and Diseased Lung (RETAIN; NCT06144476) observational study at King's College London. Steven has a research interest in the immunopathogenesis of respiratory disease focusing on type-2 immunity and the role of eosinophils. Utilising extensive flow cytometry and immunoassay expertise, Steven uses primary human tissue and blood samples to investigate immunopathology which leads to diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Steven helps support King’s commitment to an inclusive environment. He is part of SIMs Faculty’s Confidential Advisors, who are available to meet with staff and PhD students affected by bullying and harassment.
