Dr Stewart Morrison

Senior Lecturer

Biography

Stewart is a senior lecturer in the Department of Population Health Sciences at King’s College London and teaches on the BSc (Hons) and pre-registration MSc physiotherapy programmes. He has a clinical background in podiatry and has extensive experience of working with children and young people with musculoskeletal foot and lower limb pain. His research interests focus on the advancement of knowledge and practice in foot heath, and the development interventions to improve health and care outcomes.

He is a member of the Rehabilitation and Health research group and has sustained a world-leading research programme through collaboration with international partners, adoption of innovative research methods, and research excellence. He has vast experience in a variety of research methods, and his work has adopted motion analysis technologies to quantify foot development in infancy and childhood, electronic health records to undertake population level analyses of foot and ankle problems, and qualitative methods to explore the meaning and impact of foot problems at different life stages. His experience of research methods spans evidence synthesis, randomised controlled trials, descriptive epidemiology, and qualitative methodologies.
