Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Adjunct Reader

Biography

I am a Clinical Oncologist and specialise in the treatment of head and neck cancer. My research focuses on improving patient outcomes by integrating novel imaging technologies and AI into the radiotherapy process, including workflow interventions such as auto-segmentation and the development of outcome prediction models (toxicity and survival) using Real World Data.

I lead a multicentre study of adaptive radiotherapy in head and neck cancer using MRI and PETCT and host a Real World clinically annotated Imaging and Radiotherapy Dataset with ~3000 Head and Neck Cancer cases. I studied medicine at the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and trained in Oncology at the Royal Marsden, Royal Surrey County, Charing Cross and St Thomas’ Hospitals. I undertook a PhD in Radiotherapy at the Institute of Cancer Research/Royal Marsden Hospital, University of London.
