Biography

Thornchanok Uerpairojkit (Joyce) is a PhD candidate in the School of Education, Communication and Society at King’s College London, UK. Her doctoral research investigates the nature of policy processes in Thailand's education system and the disengagement of teachers from these processes.

She has also published work on Thailand across topics of democratic education, higher education and academic migration. Between 2016-2018, Thornchanok lectured at the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education, Thammasat University, Thailand. She taught subjects focused on educational policy, social equity, comparative education, and community engagement, and was also involved in a research project exploring academic mobility to Thailand.
