PhD supervisors: Dr Ylva Baeckström, Dr Angie Andrikogiannopoulou

Year of entry: 2025 (part time)

Xavier is a PhD student in Banking and Finance at King’s Business School. His research centres on sustainable investment, focusing on how moderating factors such as political ideology, social class, ethical orientation, and risk tolerance shape investor decision making and how durable these effects are over time. He also examines how strategic framing can promote sustainable investment choices.

Xavier’s professional background spans venture capital, finance, and strategy, with experience delivering projects across the automotive, technology, and sports industries. He is simultaneously pursuing qualification as a Chartered Management Accountant (CGMA) and advancing his expertise in operational excellence through the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Xavier holds an MSt in Social Innovation from Queens' College, University of Cambridge and is a member of the university's Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation.

Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Xavier is a keen sportsman who actively participates in cricket and rugby. He is also deeply committed to mentoring future generations, sharing his experience to support their development, and regularly volunteers at a local soup kitchen.
