Biography

Yuheng Ren is currently undertaking his PhD in the Department of Informatics at King’s College London. His research interests include human-computer interaction and data visualisation. In particular, his current work focuses on applying Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques to the emerging space of sustainability and Generative AI. Bringing together the themes of eco-feedback, design and visualisation, his work aims to improve both the technical and ecological literacy of end users and facilitate AI development in terms of explainability and sustainability.

Before coming to King’s, Yuheng completed his MSc in Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. It was during this time that his interest shifted toward the sustainability issue of Generative AI, which ultimately motivated his current line of research.
