Zhiwen Zhong
PhD Student
Research interests
- Chemistry
Biography
Zhiwen obtained his BSc in Biology Technology from Anhui University (2017) and his MSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) (2020). In 2021, he joined the KCL-CSC program at King's College London as a PhD student in Chemistry.
The focus of the research he performs is the development and application of new methods to aid the process of the structure and dynamics of membrane protein assemblies with a focus on exploring the structure and dynamics of membrane proteins. Specifically, to explore conformational dynamics predictions of membrane proteins utilising hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry combined with molecular dynamics simulations. XylE and Smoothen protein will be given special attention in his research.
