Role profiles
To assist managers to determine the appropriate grade for new roles, the university has developed a number of role profiles.
The professional services role profiles cover different types of work and describe the vast majority of professional services roles in the university.
The profiles are outlined in the table below.
Each of the 14 professional services role profiles describes both a work type (Technical Services, Administration etc.) and level of work (Grade 1 to 8).
When establishing a new job a manager should select the profile that best describes the new post and attach it to the standard job description.
