Dr Katie Bechman is a rheumatologist and Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London. Her research focuses on immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, with particular interests in treatment safety, long-term outcomes and the optimisation of immunosuppressive therapy.
Her work integrates meta-analysis, large-scale health data analytics and pharmacoepidemiological methods to generate robust evidence that informs clinical decision-making and improves patient care. She also has a growing research focus in sarcoidosis, particularly in epidemiology and the development of outcome measures, aiming to better characterise disease burden and support more precise assessment of treatment response in both clinical practice and research settings.
