The Dasgupta group undertakes innovate research across a variety of fields. Principle themes include prostate cancer immunotherapy, surgical simulation training, innovation in surgical robotics and bladder physiology and dysfunction.

Our research in immunotherapeutics focuses on developing novel agents from the lab to first-in-man trials. We are world-leaders in surgical simulation, recently completing the SIMULATE trial, a landmark RCT of simulation for patient benefit. Innovation in surgical robotics remains a major focus, including image guidance and 3D printing for prostatectomy. Having undertaken the initial work developing botulinum toxin as a clinical treatment, we maintain active research benign bladder dysfunction and clinical trials.
