The ESI microFAST is an automated sample introduction system used in the facility to support single-cell ICP-MS workflows. Its low-volume flow injection design enables efficient and reproducible introduction of cell suspensions while minimising sample consumption, washout time and carryover. This makes it particularly well suited to applications where limited sample volume, rapid analysis and consistent delivery of discrete cellular events are important. In the facility, it provides a valuable platform for high-throughput single-cell elemental analysis.
