The Leica Viventis Deep Dual View Light Sheet Microscope is an advanced light-sheet fluorescence imaging platform designed for high-resolution, long-term volumetric imaging of biological samples up to hundreds of micrometres in size.
The system combines dual-sided illumination with dual-view detection to achieve deep imaging with reduced shadowing, improved penetration, and minimized phototoxicity, enabling gentle imaging of living specimens over extended time periods. The system also provides software solution for fusing the two views into one high-quality dataset.
The microscope is optimized for imaging organoids, spheroids, embryos, tissues, and other multicellular systems in 3D. Its open-top sample geometry and multi-position capabilities support imaging of multiple samples in parallel while maintaining easy sample accessibility and physiological conditions during live experiments. Environmental control for temperature and CO₂ enables stable long-term live imaging workflows.
Key features include:
- Dual-view light-sheet detection for enhanced image quality
- Gentle low-phototoxicity imaging for long-term experiments
- Multi-position and multi-well acquisition
- Open-top sample access with media exchange during acquisition
- Environmental incubation control
- Flexible Gaussian light-sheet thickness selection
- High-sensitivity Hamamatsu ORCA-Fusion cameras
The system is particularly well suited for developmental biology, organoid research, cancer biology, neuroscience, tissue imaging, and drug discovery applications requiring high-speed, deep 3D imaging over extended time scales.
