The micro-CT scanner uses X-rays to obtain high-resolution 3D images of small specimens from 3 mm to 45 mm in diameter and up to 450 mm in length. Images can be captured of both hard tissue (e.g. bones, teeth) and soft tissue (with the aid of a suitable stain). Voxel size can be adjusted from 1 to 45 microns. Training and protocols can be provided.

The micro-CT scanner uses an X-ray source to scan ex vivo research samples of different sizes from 3mm to 4.5cm. Obtainable voxelsize is dependent on sample size but can range from:

 1µm to 45µm.

Two workstations to analyse the obtained data are available in the main office.
