Adolescent Clinical Outcomes & Research in Neuroscience (ACORN) Group is a multidisciplinary group focused on improving outcomes for young people through clinical research that advances early detection, prevention, and intervention in adolescents with mental health difficulties.

Our work explores mood symptoms, psychosis-risk states, and unusual experiences in adolescents, with the goal of shaping personalised and developmentally-informed care.

We are particularly interested in co-developing youth-centred interventions, strengthening the evidence base for early-stage approaches, and promoting good mental health across diverse communities.

Our research is based in the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London and the Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People.
