The research group led by Richard Russell at King's College London focuses on respiratory medicine and immunobiology. The team includes one MD student and two PhD students as well as MSc, BSc and academic clinical fellows, contributing to both clinical and translational research. Their work spans basic science and the development of novel therapies in COPD, alongside studies in asthma and ILD. The group is involved in the CARE trial of a novel bronchodilator, exploring innovative approaches to respiratory care, and produces research on biomarkers and personalised medicine. They work closely with the King's Centre for Lung Health and collaborators in the Peter Gorer Department of Immunobiology to advance understanding and treatment of lung disease.
