King’s Disability Support & Inclusion team recognises that undertaking a research degree is very different to undergraduate and Masters level study.

We have identified the following key areas where adjustments may be required to support the success of or doctoral students:

  • Personal circumstances
  • Home study environments
  • Campus study environments
  • Equipment, resources, software needs
  • External environment needs
  • Supervisor communications
  • Research/Writing
  • Progression (Upgrades/Vivas at upgrade and final/submission )

We have also developed a Postgraduate Research (PGR) Disability Adjustments Planner to help doctoral students and Supervisors to navigate communications and processes to address disability related needs. Find out more about the support available for PGR students.

Register with Disability Support & Inclusion as soon as possible and we will explore your support needs with you and support you to coordinate any reasonable adjustments or additional support you may need to be successful in your research.
