Shanghai University

Shanghai University (SHU or Shangda) was established in 1922. Today it is one of China's most prestigious research institutions, famous for its library, which houses over 4,000 volumes. SHU's three campuses are in the Baoshan, Yanchang and Jiading districts of Shanghai to house its approximately 39,000 students.

The university focuses on international cooperation and education. It has approximately 4,000 international students, who come from 119 different countries.  SHU's educational model aims to education the whole person, producing graduates who are characterized by having a global vision, civic consciousness, compassion, innovative mindset and ability to meet future challenges.

The exchange agreement between King's and the SHU currently allows for up to 3 summer school places for each institution.

Important: Final decision on your application rests entirely with the host institution and students will need to obtain a 60 percent (or 70 percent for Mathematics) in their end of year exams in order to be able to go on the exchange programme.
