Università degli Studi di Palermo

The Università degli Studi di Palermo was founded in 1806 by Ferdinand III, in an area that had been used for learning and research since the late 1500s. Today the university has over 46,000 students and is a premier institution in the Sicilian capital. It boasts numerous facilities across the city, with a main campus located on the shoreline and encompassing Palermo’s beautiful botanical gardens.  

Exchange places

The exchange agreement between King's and the University of Palermo allows for 1 3-month placement for a postgraduate research student per year.

Eligibility

Important: Final decision on your application rests entirely with the host institution and students will need to obtain a 60 percent in their end of year exams in order to be able to go on the exchange programme. This exchange is open to PGR students from the Department of Informatics.
