Inlaks Scholarships are available to students of Indian citizenship applying to any PhD programme across the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy and the Faculty of Arts & Humanities at King’s College London, with the exception of the following subjects: French; Spanish; Portuguese and Latin American Studies; Brazilian Studies; and German Research. The subjects covered by the scholarship are on the list of eligible subjects supported by Inlaks, as listed on the Inlaks website.
For further details about the Inlaks Scholarships eligibility criteria, please visit the Inlaks website (NB. This link will take you to the 2025 call; the link will be updated with the 2026 call when live).
Application process
Candidates for the Inlaks Scholarships will apply to King’s College London via the usual PhD admissions route and must already have an offer from King’s for their selected PhD programme before applying to Inlaks. Candidates will apply for the scholarship directly via Inlaks and go through the Inlaks selection process as described on the Inlaks website.
The Inlaks scholarship application process is expected to open in mid-February 2026 and this page will be updated with the deadline closer to the time. Candidates are advised to have applied for an eligible PhD programme at King’s in good time before the Inlaks selection process opens to allow time for the King’s admissions process. We recommend applying at least six weeks before the call opens.
