Course essentials

The International Management MSc offers a demanding and stimulating course, with emphasis placed on providing global capabilities required for business success.

You will study International Business Strategy, Accounting and Finance, Comparative Management and Governance, Crafting Entrepreneurial Opportunities, Sustainable Business, Leadership in Context and Research Skills and Business Analytics as well as a range of optional modules.

In the second semester you have the opportunity to choose electives from a range of modules and either a Business Research Project (individual or group), a Business Consulting Project (group – competitive entry by application) or a Business Experience Project (requires a self-sourced internship), to reflect your interests.

Our students learn practical, personal, intellectual and transferable skills. Through studying our diverse and comprehensive range of modules, we’ll develop your critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills within an international context.
On top of key skill development, you’ll acquire a comparative understanding of the key systems of management and advanced business strategies, along with the ability to identify the sources of competitive advantages for international companies.
Upon completing the programme, you’ll understand strategic management decision making, and have a deep knowledge of the wider economic, political and cultural environments modern business leaders operate in. You’ll also understand the nature and development of different systems of management and be able the analyse the role, strategy and models of the multinational enterprise.
