We very much hope that your experience at King’s will be a positive one, both with regards to your programme of study and any School or College service you may use.
There will be regular periods during your programme when we will ask you to complete feedback surveys but Programme Co-ordinators are happy to hear your comments at any time. We also hold regular Staff-Student Liaison Committees (SSLCs) and you can feed comments back to us via your Student Representatives.
If you have a problem with the quality of the service provided to you, please bring the issue to a relevant person as soon as possible; you should speak to your Personal Tutor or Class Rep in the first instance. Alternatively, you can also contact the King's Foundations' Student Engagement Officer, for other services, the relevant Head of Section. If you are not sure who to talk to, consult with the King's Foundations Student Engagement Officer (firstname.lastname@example.org) who will guide you in the most appropriate direction.
Staff-Student Liaison Committee (SSLC)
Student Feedback Surveys
SSLC meetings are integral channels of communication between students and King's Foundations teams. These meetings act as formal Student Experience Forums and provide platforms for students to give feedback to the ELC staff about various aspects of their student life. These aspects can range from highlighting positive elements of the academic experience to voicing any concerns students may have about their welfare, the King';s Foundations service and/or the College as a whole.
A summary (the committee minutes) of each meeting is drafted accordingly and published for students to view via the KEATS platform, in order to ensure actions on all raised points are taken appropriately and all issues discussed are thoroughly followed up. If you have any further questions following this, you should speak to your Class Rep.
For full details regarding Student Representative roles, selection processes, Rep training and their engagement in SSLC meetings, visit Student Life Page/Student Voice.
SSLC Meetings Dates for the 2020/21 Academic Year
King's International Foundation Programme
- Term 1 - TBC
- Term 2 - TBC
There will also be a final SSLC meeting held in Term 3 for representatives from both programmes.
The SSLC schedule for the Pre-sessional programmes is TBC.
All students are also given an opportunity to complete feedback surveys each semester in order to provide additional feedback regarding courses and student life at King's. These surveys help King's Foundations to understand the overall student experience, identify what we are doing well and learn what requires improvements.
