Modules
Courses are divided into modules. You will normally take modules totalling 180 credits.
Required Modules
You are required to take:
- Introduction to Analytics in Finance (15 credits)
- Principles of Finance (15 credits)
- Big Data Analytics and Visualisation (15 credits)
- Business Risk Analytics (15 credits)
- Dissertation (60 credits)
Optional Modules
In addition, you are required to take 15 credits from:
- Big Data and Text Business and Finance Analytics (15 credits)
- FinTech Analytics and Robo Trading (15 credits)
- Conduct Risk Management (15 credits)
And you are required to take 45 credits from a range of optional modules that may typically include:
- Empirical Finance (15 credits)
- Corporate Finance (15 credits)
- Financial Econometrics (15 credits)
- Applied Behavioural Finance (15 credits)
- Portfolio Management (15 credits)
- Financial Derivatives for Data Analytics (15 credits)
- Mathematical Finance (15 credits)
- Risk Management for Data Analytics (15 credits)
Teaching methods - what to expect

Typically, one credit equates to 10 hours of work.
We will use a delivery method that will ensure students have a rich, exciting experience from the start. Face to face teaching will be complemented and supported with innovative technology so that students also experience elements of digital learning and assessment.
