Once you find the building the library entrance is on the ground floor.

In order to gain access, you will need your King’s ID card. If you are a member of NHS staff and would like to access the library please see the joining instructions.

This library is unstaffed, if you have a question or need assistance you can contact a librarian via our LibChat service on our LibAnswers pages on your mobile device or using one of the LibChat PCs in the library.

Collection

A close relationship with key London NHS Trusts, including Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital, ensures significant complementary clinical healthcare resources at St Thomas' House Library. Holdings include:

  • Basic medical sciences
  • Clinical medicine and health services research
  • Dermatology
  • Pediatrics.

Opening hours:

St Thomas' House library is open 24/7, the King's Food cafe in the space is open 09.00-16.00 Monday to Friday, during term-time. See the opening hours for all King's libraries.

Study Spaces

The library was refurbished over the summer of 2023 and is spread across one floor. The library hosts a variety of study spaces including a cafe/discussion zone as you enter, two bookable Group Study rooms, and a quiet zone at the back that contains the main book collection.

Please choose a zone that suits your study needs and be respectful of others studying around you.
