External Relations Directorate
The External Relations Directorate (ERD) contributes professional expertise to corporate policy formulation and the development of strategies to realise the university's Strategic Plan. It works in partnership with, and provides professional leadership to, faculties and departments in order to advance these strategies by means of marketing and public relations.
The External Relations Directorate has overall responsibility for Brand Communications, Internal Communications, Marketing, Professional & Executive Development, Public Relations, Study Abroad & Internships and Widening Participation.
The External Relations Directorate offers strategic direction to the university about the marketplace within which it operates and the products, services and innovation it creates and supplies.
The External Relations Directorate also delivers a range of front-line services in communicating market intelligence within the university and presenting its messages to key audiences.
External Relations Director's Office
Maxine M. Taylor is part of the Senior Leadership Team at King’s College London where she is Director of External Relations.
She has previously worked for Nationwide Building Society, the Cabinet Office and Eli Lilly and also has substantial experience of healthcare from working with Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.
Maxine has had an accomplished career in communications, marketing and corporate affairs/public policy with multi-sector experience of reputation and change management. She has a degree in Modern Languages (French and German) and Social & Political Sciences from Clare College, Cambridge.
