Advent & Christmas 2019

Advent Carols

Wednesday 4th, Thursday 5th, Friday 6th December

17.30, College Chapel

A solemn and traditional service of music and readings by candlelight, progressing from darkness to light.

Congregants are required to be seated by 17.20 for a prompt start to the service at 17.30. The duration of the service is approximately 90 minutes and admissions and exits during the service can only be facilitated while hymns are being sung to avoid disruption.

The outstanding Chapel Choir will be singing and mulled wine and mince pies will be served after the service.

Tickets are free, but are required, and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Ticket registration will go live on Eventbrite at the end of October 2019.

PUT A SOCK IN IT! Campaign

No one can fail to notice the number of homeless people on our streets at the moment.  If you are feeling helpless and wondering what to do, we have one suggestion here in the Chaplaincy.  The Manna Centre at London Bridge has need of donations of clothing for its guests. 90% of the guests are male, and they have a real need for socks (which go really quickly!) as well as hats, scarves and gloves during the winter months. Finally, jeans and trainers are like gold dust. Donations can be new or second hand.  There ARE donation boxes in all the Chaplaincies for clean, folded clothing to give to people at the Centre.

Baptism & Confirmation

If you would like to explore the possibility of being Baptised and/or Confirmed, courses will be run by Roman Catholic and Church of England chaplains on various campuses. If you are interested please contact the Chaplaincy and specify your primary campus and Christian tradition.
