Prayer and Dedication
***As things stand, the Chaplaincy is working remotely, but is available via email. Chapels and Prayer Rooms are closed and all on-site services are suspended until further notice - however, the Chaplaincy is still active and you can find out more about what the Chaplaincy is doing during lockdown here. You can find information relating to Ramadan and Shavuot here. Please note the current advice from King's re Coronavirus***
In addition to the marriage service, we welcome those with links to King's who want to celebrate their marriage by having a service of prayer and dedication in one of the College Chapels following a civil wedding ceremony.
Reaffirmation of marriage vows
The Chaplains are also pleased to offer the opportunity for members of the King's community who wish to reaffirm their marriage vows to do so in one of the Chapels.
There are no legal conditions which need to be met for either of these services and they may be arranged in agreement with one of the Chaplains.
Who to contact
All praise and blessing to you, God of love,
creator of the universe,
maker of man and woman in your likeness,
source of blessing for married life.
All praise to you, for you have created
courtship and marriage,
joy and gladness,
feasting and laughter,
pleasure and delight.
May your blessing come in full upon us.
May we know your presence
in our joys and in our sorrows.
May we reach old age in the company of friends
and come at last to your eternal kingdom;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
