Vice-Chancellor & President

Professor Shitij Kapur is the Vice-Chancellor & President of King’s College London. He returned to lead King’s in June 2021, following more than four years at the University of Melbourne, where he was Dean and Assistant Vice Chancellor (Health) for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and interim Deputy Vice Chancellor (International).

Chair of College Council

The Rt Hon the Lord Geidt has been the Chair of King’s College Council since August 2016. Lord Geidt is an alumnus and Fellow of King’s. He was for ten years Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, having joined the Royal Household in 2002 after a career in military and diplomatic service.

The Dean

The Revd Dr Ellen Clark-King, the Dean of King's College London, is responsible for overseeing the spiritual development and welfare of all students and staff. The Dean's Office is the first point of contact for any queries about religious provision at King's and is home to the Associate of King's College London (AKC), Chaplaincy and the Chapel Choir.
